About David Gifford...

David Gifford, is the founder and chief pilot of Balloon Adventures of New Bedford, Inc. He is a product of a founding family of the area and has been deeply involved in the marine, textile and recreation aspects of the local industries. Growing up in the family's marine business exposed him to many skills of mechanics, electronics, marine navigation, and business management. After earning a B.S. Degree in Textile Technology and Chemistry, he joined local textile firms in technical and process management positions for eleven years when new opportunities beckoned from the South. Having started experimenting with hot air balloon construction and design, he remained in New England to pursue his desire for quality living.
